Rode NTG-8

د.إ 4,089.00

Based on RØDE’s award winning NTG3 shotgun microphone, the NTG8 is a broadcast quality RF-bias shotgun microphone that exhibits increased directionality across a wide frequency response range. This makes the NTG8 the perfect microphone for film, television, sports and outdoor broadcasting, live performance, and any professional distance miking application. Like the NTG3, the NTG8 features low self-noise, natural sound without coloration both on and off-axis, and RF bias technology to ensure that it is almost completely resistant to high humidity environments which could cause other condenser microphones to fail. The NTG8 is finished in matte black and supplied with a specially designed shock mount (SM8) that is engineered to provide excellent handling noise isolation, cable management and versatile mounting options for the microphone. A rugged weatherproof aluminum cylinder is also included, providing ultimate protection for the microphone when in transport or storage. The WSNTG8 windshield completes the package, providing light environmental protection.

The Rode NTG-8 shotgun condenser microphone gives you uncompromising performance in even the toughest conditions. It’s also incredibly directional, even at low frequencies – that means you’re sure to capture the audio you need, without off-axis low-frequency sounds clouding your recording. The NTG-8 is very moisture-resistant, and its low handling noise and self-noise properties make it great for film and broadcast applications in the field. It’s a highly sensitive mic with “you are there” sound quality and excellent RF interference rejection. A water-resistant aluminum storage cylinder, windshield, pouch, and mic clip are included with the Rode NTG-8 shotgun condenser microphone.

Rode NTG-8 Condenser Shotgun Microphone at a Glance:

  • Built for any environment
  • Lightweight, low-noise
  • Excellent directionality, even at low frequencies

Built for any environment

Using a technology known as RF-bias the Rode NTG-8 is almost completely resistant to moisture, making it ideal for recording in any demanding environments where condensation is an issue. Be it in a tropical rainforest, arid desert or sub-zero snowstorm, the NTG-8 can be relied on to faithfully record audio where traditional condenser microphones would fail.

Lightweight, low-noise

In addition to its robust properties, the NTG-8 combines very low weight (less than 1 lbs.), a durable anti-glare finish and incredibly low handling and self-noise (13dBA) to become RODE’s premier A/V microphone.

Excellent directionality, even at low frequencies

Unintended off-axis sounds can ruin an otherwise great recording, and low frequencies are the most likely to intrude (because they travel farther than high frequencies with the same energy). The Rode NTG-8 shotgun mic is exceptionally directional, even at low frequencies. That means when you’re focusing on a sound source, you’re less likely to pick up rumble from the highway, wind, ocean, or whatever.
